My second of five "Bold" predictions goes to the defense

My second “Bold” prediction is going to
the defense, but not just any defensive player, a rookie! I know, who would
make a “bold” prediction about a rookie? “You can’t know what he’ll do.” “You
haven’t seen him in the NFL!” Well, I don’t care. I’m going to do it anyways.
I predict that Kevin Byard is going to
have 4 interceptions and he also will have substantial playing time.
First of all, I know that playing
Conference USA is nothing like the NFL. However, while he played at Middle
Tennessee State University, he had 19 interceptions, 196 tackles, and played in
48 games. He got 4 of those interceptions in 2015 while also only playing in 11
games.
If he can get 4 interceptions in only 11
games, I think he could easily get 4 in 16 possible games. I don’t think this
is the “bold” part of my prediction. The “bold” part of my prediction is the
second half.
Kevin Byard will get substantial playing
time this year. He is a very young talent and I think he could possibly take
over the starting job from Da’norris Searcy, or even Rashad Johnson, who is now
30 years old.
If he plays his cards right, he will be
the #1 safety on this team in a few years, but that is another “bold”
prediction for another day.
I have high hopes for Kevin Bayard. I
truly believe that he will turn out to be one of our best DB’s for years to
come. I think that if he lives up to my prediction, he will be on pace for a
Pro Bowl appearance his third year into his career, but these are topics to be
discussed later.
My next “Bold” prediction will have a
surprise and will hopefully be very fun for you all. Until that time comes,
remember to Titan Up!!!
