My final prediction is a surprisingly conservative one!
My final “Bold” prediction is one of my more realistic
ones. I thought about this a lot, and I have decided to go with the offensive side
of the ball for this prediction.

Marcus Mariota will pass for 3500+ yards and 30+
touchdowns. Many people might say that this is outrageous and would/could never
happen, but I’m here to say that they are wrong.
While Marcus only threw for 2,818 yards and 19 touchdowns
last season, he only played in 12 games. If you average his stats from last
season and add in the other 4 games he missed, he would have thrown for 3,757
yards and 25 touchdowns. I feel like he would have had more than that if he had
actually played in those games, since two of the contests, he didn’t even
complete.
The most optimistic part of this prediction to me is the
touchdown prediction. I know that we will have a running offense this season,
but passing for 3,500 yards isn’t that difficult when you have targets like Dorial
Green-Beckham and Tajae Sharpe running routes for you. The hardest thing will
be passing the ball when in the red zone instead of running it.
This brings to mind the infamous decision when the
Seahawks decided to pass the ball on 1st down in the Super Bowl against
the Patriots. I don’t want to end up like the Seahawks did, and have the ball
intercepted at the 1yard line, but I would rather not always run the ball from
inside the 20.

If the coaches let DGB go up for a fade route, he will
come down with a catch half of the time. If you let Delanie Walker go out for a
post route, he will make the catch 85% pf the time. The only times he won’t make
that catch is when the ball is thrown to the other side of the field. I’m
exaggerating a little bit, but you know what I mean.
All Mariota needs is a little push from the coaches. If
all of my predictions come true, which they probably won’t, the Titans will be
in playoff contention this year, and will be in the playoffs in the next 3
years. Also, Marcus Mariota will be the MVP of the league in three years. Now,
all of the additional predictions are contingent on whether or not my other predictions
come true.
I hope you have enjoyed this article series, and I hope
you enjoy all of the other ones as well. My next post will be here later this
week. While you wait, Titan Up!
