My first bold prediction
My first “Bold”
prediction for the Titans this year is a big one. There are many
ways that I could go with this one, but I’ve decided to go with the running
game.
The Titans
will have a top 10 running offense this season. The reason I say this is
because the combination of Marcus Mariota, Demarco Murray, and Derrick Henry is a force to be reckoned with. I’m not saying that we will have the league’s
leading rusher or anything, but I believe that we will have enough yards to
break through the top 10.
There are
many different play options for this offense because we have a very mobile quarterback.
If you have all three of those fantastic runners in the backfield at the same
time, there is almost no defense that could stop them. I can’t think of any
defense that we are playing this season that can stop this triple-threat offense effectively.
I have been to one practice so far, and what I
saw from the running backs is something that I haven’t seen since Chris Johnson
and Lendale White combination back in 2008, the old smash and dash running game. The
only difference is, Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry are more of a smash and
smash kind of combo.
I think
this is a sign of good things to come because if our running game can be
as good as I am predicting, this team will be on track for greatness. This
team is on the verge of being good, and I think
that all they need is a little push from the running game.
I will be
doing my next “Bold” prediction later this week! In the meantime, remember to
Titan Up!!
